Research area:
My current research is in environmental geochemistry and mineralogy of cobalt in mine wastes. I will be focusing on cobalt mineralisation and speciation in mine wastes, soils, and waters. The aims of this research are three fold;
(i) Thorough mineralogical and geochemical characterisation of Co in solid and aqueous phases - a two sites comparison approach
(ii) Investigate mineral interactions by simulating using PHREEQC
(iii) Determination of Bioaccessibility of different Co-mineral species in ALFs and SGFs
